Middlewich Business Forum - March'08
Fee earners at our Middlewich office have joined forces with other employers in a bid to attract new business to the town. Simon Masters, John Hall (Directors) and Julia Brown (Solicitor) are hoping to set up a business forum, together with the owners of the Accord Clinic, Ambassador Recruitment, Gems Wedding Supplies and the Cheshire Restaurant.
The goal of the participants is to set up a network offering the benefit of their knowledge and experience by way of support to other businesses in the town. It is hoped that such a forum will help to attract more start-up businesses to the area, knowing that thriving businesses are on hand to offer advice and assistance.

Raising funds for Children in Need - 16 November'08

On Friday 16th November we decided to shed the usual ‘stuffy’ image of solicitors and raise money for BBC’s Children in Need Appeal by having a fancy dress day. Staff at the Sandbach office came to work in all manners of fancy dress, including a cat, Ghostbusters, the Vicar of Dibley, an air hostess, Cleopatra, and even Barbie’s Groovy Grandma!! Managing Director David Cowgill came as a Head Chef and baked a delicious cake for members of staff to enjoy! Director Simon Masters from the Middlewich tried to preserve order as an army captain. Donations from staff and Clients have already raised over £100 and money is still being collected from a ‘Find the Pudsey’ competition.
Congratulations go to Julia Brown at our Middlewich office on qualifying as a Solicitor. Julia joined the team at Rigbys in 2004 just after she qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives at the youngest age the rules allow. She is our Family lawyer and deals with all aspects of law arising from separation and divorce. Julia offers a relaxed and sympathetic approach to clients during what can be an extremely difficult time for them. In addition to family work, she also acts in relation to claims arising as a result of personal injury and routine Litigation.
